On December 7-9, 2011 NSD Took Part in ANNA Workshop and EGM Held in Jordan

National Settlement Depository (NSD) took part in a Workshop and an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of the members of the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) conducted on December 7-9, 2011, in Jordan.

The Workshop was carried out prior to EGM and covered issues of interest for both members and partners of ANNA as well as for potential participants of the Association. The ANNA Board of Directors presented to the audience brief information about ANNA's mission and objectives, its structure and executive bodies, about operators that maintain ANNA's database and the international standards developed by the Association, about ANNA's prospects and its role in standardization.

On 8-9 December the Association held the EGM. The ANNA Board of Directors reported results of its activities since the last meeting held in Toronto and presented its vision of the Association's tasks for 2012. ANNA's Directors also presented to the members of the Association information about stage of development of international standards falling within ANNA's responsibilities. The activity reports by representatives of regional groups and substitute numbering agencies with regard to their regions and spheres of responsibilities were also presented to the participants of the meeting.

ANNA members made decision to admit an organization from Qatar to ANNA as a partner and to admit the Central Securities Depository of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Association as a member.
